I used these to retain the newly pierced holes in my ears. Personally if you need to take your earrings in an out constantly for work purposes, I would just use these and turn them around so as little plastic is showing. They worked much better hygienically for me as well, because I wasn't constantly fiddling with them. The rubber band was a bit difficult to apply for the retainer's lack of rigidity, but I guess that's just the nature of the beast.

I use them for my industrial piercing so i can sleep at night without the bar pressing into my ear. they are a perfect fit.I couldnt get the little plastic washer on but so far i havent needed them, they stay in place without them.

I ordered these so I could have one plug and one 'normal' earring in. (I have an industrial piercing) Honestly, amazing buy. I use them all the time. They work for what they say, they are not really 'noticeable' so if I'm going somewhere and I need my ear... 'less flashy' lol they work great.
Only downside was the small lil bands that are supposed to keep them from falling out. First of all. I threw them away in like .3 seconds. Getting the bands on is hard enough, try doing it while they are in your ear!
Good side to the downside... you don't need them. I swear they are pointless, I've never used the small bands to 'hold them in' and they are very snug and haven't moved. I even sleep with them in sometimes and when I wake up - yup still in my ears.
So all in all, nice item. :)
