These earrings are super awesome and I loved them for the first 3 days. But the little wooden stick that goes through your ear is extremely breakable. It broke while trying to get it on. Very sad :( Just be aware that you need to be careful and they are great. It may be painful the first time putting them on if you've only worn regular studs and had no gauging. I suggest wearing heavier dangling earrings for a bit then putting them in will be easier.
